Attending the conference in person at the ÉTS allows you to meet the speakers and other colleagues while respecting health measures. Description of the conference

La réhabilitation de bâtiment patrimoniaux est rarement abordée lorsqu’il est question de conception structurale. Toutefois, ce type de projet révèle toujours de nombreux défis à relever et aussi à mieux comprendre l’évolution de l’ingénierie de structure depuis les 19e et 20e siècles.

À travers deux projets, les réhabilitations des serres de Westmount et du bâtiment administratif du Jardin Botanique, les sujets suivants seront abordés. Pour chacun des points, les problématiques seront présentées et les solutions privilégiés également expliqués à l’aide d’exemples concrets:

• Calculs et vérifications de verre structurelle;
• Tassement des fondations causé par l’assèchement des sols argileux;
• Travaux de stabilisation du bâtiment par l’installation de pieux hydrauliques;
• Interventions en sous-œuvre sur des radiers existants;
• Travaux de sous-œuvre pour l’aménagement d’un sous-sol, et;
• Travaux de restauration de maçonnerie.

La conservation et la mise en valeur du patrimoine bâtit comme paramètre à intégrer dans la conception sera abordé.
