Cathleen (Cathy) Taraschuk completed her B.Eng and M.Eng at Carleton University. She also obtained an M.B.A. frm the University of Ottawa in 1992. Cathy has more than 20 years of structural engineering experience in construction-related fields, including 6 years as a design consultant and more than 11 years as a building official enforcing the Code requirements. She has been with the Canadian Codes Centre since 1998. The Centre is part of the Institute for Research in Construction (IRC) of the National Research Council (NRC) Canada.
