Montreal Structural Engineers is an association founded in 1979 to foster professional development and exchanges between structural engineers working in the Montreal area.
The year’s program generally includes seven conferences. These conferences, which are free of charge and require no registration, are announced directly to associate members by e-mail.
Unless otherwise specified, meetings are held at McGill University or École de technologie supérieure on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, from September to April, except December.
Each month, the presence of high-profile speakers is made possible thanks to the financial support of the sponsors and the support of many Montreal firms and universities in the region, the energy of the organizing committee and the close relations with the Montreal Chapter of the CSCE.
The content of the conference (PowerPoint) cannot be share with the participants after the conference.
The organizing committee generally meets three times a year to select topics and speakers for technical presentations and ensure their preparation.
This committee is composed of volunteers from local engineering firms, sponsoring companies and universities. The committee is composed of the following members:
Speakers invited by the “Montreal Structural Engineer” (hereinafter MSE) are fully responsible for their presentation and content. The content of the presentation involve only the speaker.
